KSWB-TV (FOX 5), Tribune Broadcasting’s San Diego station, has announced a partnership with the Los Angeles Rams to broadcast preseason football games on FOX 5 for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
FOX 5 will provide the San Diego market with exclusive English-language telecasts of all Rams preseason games, excluding contests that will be broadcast by the National Football League’s national television partners.
In 2017, FOX 5 will air live coverage of three Rams preseason games including Dallas Cowboys at LA Rams (Week 1, August 10-12), LA Rams at Oakland Raiders (Week 2, August 17-19) and LA Rams at Green Bay Packers (Week 4, August 31 – September 1). Exact dates and times will be announced in the future.
“With over 540 hours of live sports programming- which includes 150 hours of NFL football, we are thrilled to add the Los Angeles Rams pre-season football games to our current NFL football schedule. Our two-year partnership kicks off in mid-August where we will air the first of three pre-season football games of the 2017 season. FOX 5 will also air the FOX pre-season football doubleheader on August 27th between the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans at 10am and the Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Redskins at 1pm,” said Scott Heath, President and General Manager, FOX 5.
“As we look forward to our second season back home in Southern California, we are excited to partner with FOX 5 San Diego to bring Rams football to their viewers and our fans across the region,” said LA Rams COO Kevin Demoff.
